22/12/2025

January 30, 2026, Shannon, IE – SK tes, a global leader in secure technology lifecycle and IT asset disposition (ITAD) services, has concluded the official opening ceremony of its new state‑of‑the‑art facility in Shannon Airport Business Park, near Shannon Airport, County Clare. The event brought together leaders across government, industry, and the Irish technology ecosystem to mark a significant milestone for sustainable digital infrastructure in Ireland.

The new site was officially opened by Minister of State at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, Timmy Dooley, who cut the ribbon with representatives from the Irish technology industry and the global SK tes business. Minister Dooley also delivered a keynote address where he emphasised the growing national importance of secure, responsible, and sustainable technology management. Minister Dooley highlighted how the new Shannon facility directly supports Ireland’s Climate Action Plan, circular economy objectives, and the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

As Ireland continues to attract major global technology and data‑centre investment, we must ensure that sustainability and resource recovery keep pace with growth,” Minister Dooley said. “Facilities like SK tes Shannon help safeguard our environmental commitments while supporting secure, compliant and responsible management of technology at every stage of its lifecycle.
