SK Tes’ Eric Ingebretsen Shines at ITAD Summit Keynote Panel | SK Tes

06/08/2025

SK Tes, a global leader in sustainable IT asset disposition (ITAD), was featured at the recent ITAD Summit in Las Vegas, US. SK Tes Chief Commercial Officer, Eric Ingebretsen, was invited to speak at the event’s keynote panel discussion. This prestigious event, held annually, is rapidly gaining recognition as an essential conference for the ITAD industry, drawing experts and pacesetters from around the globe.

The ITAD Summit kicked off with a dynamic keynote panel discussion, which included industry leaders Todd Zegers, President & COW of CXtec, John Shergerian, Chairman & CEO of ERI, and Paul Knight, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Illumynt, alongside SK tes’ CCO, Eric Ingebretsen. Together they explored the “10 Commandments of ITAD”, a set of guiding principles designed to elevate industry standards and practices.

Eric Ingebretsen took center stage to address two critical commandments: “Free doesn’t scale or create real value” and “Own your sandbox before trying to build a new beach.” In his persuasive commentary, Eric emphasized the hidden costs associated with offering so-called "free" services, underscoring that genuine value comes from transparent, quality-driven business practices.

“Anyone that says they are providing services free are either disingenuous in their commercial model or are not providing the level of services large clients require,” Eric articulated. “Free creates the perception that our services have no value, which undermines the true worth and expertise required in our field.”

Reflecting on the conference, Eric shared his enthusiasm: “I’ve been to a lot of conferences over the years, but this year’s ITAD Summit stood out because of the level of attendance from all levels of players and partners in the ITAD space. Everyone you’ve been wanting to reconnect with or take a conversation to the next level with, was there.”

The ITAD Summit has established itself as a collaborative forum designed to foster innovation and collaboration within the ITAD community. As it continues to grow, it promises to be a must-attend event in the industry calendar, providing invaluable opportunities for networking, learning, and strategizing.
