Building Strong Relationships Through Program Management
I’m Erin Zhou, Program Manager at SK tes, based in Thornton, Colorado. .png?width=254&height=254&name=Erin%20Zhou%20(3).png)
My career in IT asset disposition began 15 years ago, and over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to build strong client relationships, solve complex operational challenges, and grow across different areas of the business.
I started in customer service and account management before moving into Program Management, where I found a role that brings together many of the things I enjoy most — strategy, operations, and customer experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported global enterprise customers, managed large-scale IT asset disposition programs, and worked with teams across multiple regions. Each role has helped me strengthen the communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills I rely on today.
The Part of Work I Enjoy Most
One of the things I enjoy most about my role is that no two days are the same.
I work closely with customers to solve problems, improve processes, and support their sustainability goals. Every programme brings different priorities and challenges, which makes the work both interesting and rewarding.
I also value the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues around the world. Knowing that our work has a real impact for our customers, while also supporting a more sustainable future, gives purpose to what we do every day.
Growing Through New Challenges
SK tes has supported my growth by giving me opportunities to take on new challenges and lead complex global programs.
I’ve been trusted with managing large enterprise accounts and cross-functional initiatives, which has pushed me to grow both professionally and personally.
The collaborative environment has also allowed me to learn from colleagues with different areas of expertise across the business. That willingness to share knowledge and support one another has made a meaningful difference in my development.
Balancing Priorities as a Leader
One of the biggest challenges in my role is balancing the needs of customers, internal teams, and business priorities while managing large global programs.
Every customer has different expectations, and finding solutions that work for everyone often requires creativity, clear communication, and collaboration.
SK tes has given me the support and autonomy to work through those challenges, while also giving me access to knowledgeable teams who are always willing to help solve difficult problems together.
Flexibility That Supports Work and Family
The flexibility at SK tes has made a meaningful difference for me.
As a working mom, having the ability to balance customer needs with family commitments allows me to be successful both professionally and personally.
The culture is built on trust and results, which helps create a healthy balance while still delivering for our customers.
Life Outside Work
Outside of work, my interests really revolve around spending time with my husband and our two daughters.
Family time is very important to me, whether we’re celebrating the holidays together, travelling, or supporting our girls in the activities they love. Both of my daughters participate in All Star Cheerleading, which has given us the opportunity to travel for out-of-state competitions and create some special memories along the way.
Those moments with my family help keep me grounded and remind me why flexibility, balance, and support are so important.

Seeing Positive Outcomes Come Together
The most rewarding moments for me are seeing long-term projects come together and knowing the work has made a positive impact for both our customers and the business.
Whether it’s improving a process, launching a new program, or helping a customer solve a difficult challenge, it’s incredibly satisfying to see those efforts turn into successful outcomes.
Those moments are a reminder of why the work matters.
What Makes SK tes Special
For me, what makes SK tes special is the people.
There is a genuine willingness to collaborate across teams, regions, and functions. Everyone is working toward the same goal of delivering great service while making a positive environmental impact.
That shared purpose creates an environment where people are encouraged to share ideas, support one another, and keep improving together.
Sustainability With Purpose
Working for an organization focused on sustainability strongly resonates with my personal values.
It’s rewarding to be part of a company where sustainability is more than just a goal — it’s part of our everyday work.
Helping customers extend the life of technology, recover value from retired assets, and reduce environmental impact gives meaning to what we do. Knowing that our work contributes to a more sustainable future makes it even more meaningful.
