Life at SK Tes - Chandra Paramita

I’m Chandra Paramita, Senior Manager, Operations at SK Tes, based in Indonesia.

My journey with SK Tes began at the very start of our operations in Indonesia. In those early days, I was responsible for customer service and coordinating secure shipments to Singapore. As the business expanded, so did my role. I became involved in material processing, value recovery, and broader operational management.

Growing alongside the company has shaped my career in ways I could never have imagined. Each stage of expansion brought new responsibilities, new learning curves, and new opportunities to lead.

Purpose Behind the Work

What makes my role meaningful is its alignment with my personal values. I have always cared deeply about protecting the environment. At SK Tes, I can actively contribute to ensuring natural resources are used efficiently and not wasted.

The work itself is dynamic. Regulations evolve, global markets shift, and operational standards continue to rise. This constant movement keeps the role challenging and engaging. It pushes me to adapt, to learn, and to continuously improve.

One of the greatest advantages of working at SK Tes is being part of a truly global organization.

I’ve had the opportunity to develop both technical expertise in resource management and broader leadership skills. Collaboration with colleagues across regions provides fresh perspectives and shared knowledge. We learn from one another’s experiences, and that exchange strengthens both our operations and our mindset.

Leading as a Woman in the Industry

In Indonesia, female leaders in this field are still relatively rare. That reality can be challenging - but it is also motivating.

What I appreciate most about SK Tes is the opportunity it creates for women to grow and lead. Seeing strong female leaders across our global teams inspires me to continue developing and contributing at a higher level. The culture here encourages capability and commitment, regardless of gender.
